COME AGAIN
by Even

Enough people have told me that as a hard core You Am I fan that I'd love Even too. I love I Have Nothing and so I ordered the newie from my local record store, who had never heard of them. But BMG wants that all to change, don't they?

Well, straight into it, this album feels like the late 60s. Its what they do apparently and they do it quite well. The single No Suprises is a ripper, and songs like Underwater Dream and 4:18 get into your head so much you want to tear out your brain. In a good way. Sunshine Comes is my favourite so far, a lovely melody and beautiful words.

God bless the person who decided to package albums with bonus discs. I love them to death. This one's good, except its all the b-sides from their last album's singles and I understand how the fans feel ripped off. But bonus discs just make albums soo much better, its like holding one and knowing all this music is inside it. Its tops.

Back to Even. Well there are some really strong tracks here, if they can get the airplay. C'mon Austereo, crumble! No Suprises is a great track and deserves airplay, even though it has the same name as that Radiohead song (and I have Nothing is a Whitney Houston song).

There wasn't much I didn't like in this album. It's a nice album, with tunes that you can shake your hips and click your fingers to. And it sounds great when its really, really loud.

Well I'm booked to see these guys play the Metro in like a month. I can't wait to hear this stuff live.
